How deep do you grind a stump?
Standard is 6 to 12 inches below grade — enough to plant grass over. If you're putting in a new tree, a structure, or paving, we grind deeper so nothing's in the way.
Do you remove the grindings?
Your choice. The grindings make good mulch and can backfill the hole, or we haul them off and leave you clean topsoil-ready ground for a small additional charge.
Can I plant a new tree where the old stump was?
Yes, once we grind deep enough and clear the grindings and roots. We'll grind extra deep and remove the debris so the new tree has clean soil to root into.
